Deadpool joins the MCU with Ryan Reynolds’ R-Rated return as the character

Deadpool & Wolverine is a superhero action film produced by Marvel Studios for Disney. The Shawn Levy directs Deadpool & Wolverine, and previously worked with lead actor Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the writing duo from the first two Deadpool films, return to pen the screenplay for the third, based on a first draft written by the Molyneux Sisters. Deadpool & Wolverine marks the character’s first appearance within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Marvel/Disney is known for their more family-friendly productions, Deadpool & Wolverine retains its R-rating.

Ryan Reynolds returns to the role of Deadpool for the third film. He is joined by Hugh Jackman, bringing back his X-Men character Wolverine. The two team up against Emma Corrin’s villain. Returning cast members include Morena Baccarin as Deadpool’s girlfriend Vanessa, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as her girlfriend Yukio, Karan Soni as Dopinder, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al. Also featuring in the action are Matthew Macfadyen and Rob Delaney.
