Genesis To Bring Important Changes To The Entire GV70 Lineup In 2026
The biggest news comes from the Electrified version.
Eye-Grabbing Attention To Detail
The futuristic elegance begins before you even enter the vehicle, as its distinct style and road presence strike onlookers long before they have a chance to pin down the manufacturer. With a newer brand like Genesis, it's easy to confuse the stately appearance and emblem with other brands, though not many brands are doing luxury like this.
The exterior has received a few changes that add to its overall stance and attitude, including a dual-weave mesh radiator grille, called the G-Matrix Crest Grille, that incorporates the iconic multi-lens array (MLA) two-line headlamps. The front-end design has also been enhanced with a bolder skid plate, giving it a more robust, muscular stance.
The rear turn signals have been redesigned to align with the two-line concept found in the front, making the overall 'tech' look more cohesive. Newly redesigned wheel options are available and serve to enhance the vehicle's athletic profile, which boasts sleek, elegant contours and bold expressions at every angle.
The Future Of Auto Design Is Now
As mentioned, Genesis produces vehicles that bear unique design, sculpting, and attention to detail that simply elevate their visual impact, even when standing next to the highest echelon of luxury, which include the likes of Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and more.

This is thanks to the delicious balance between advanced tech, elegant design, and brand distinction, marrying contemporary appeal with Genesis' Korean-inspired design principle, which is “The Beauty of White Space”. This highly-regarded ethos has helped enhance the 2026 GV70 and Electrified GV70 with more grace and mold-breaking boldness (if that's even a term) than most of its rivals.
New Customization Options
Along with the new wheel options, which are 19" and 21" sets, Genesis also updated the color palette to include ten available colors. Among the new shades is Ceres Blue, which was inspired by the dwarf planet that orbits Mars and Jupiter. The Nappa leather upholstery offers four colors, including Ultramarine Blue, allowing numerous combinations for all. It should be noted that the 2026 Genesis Electrified GV70 will only offer six exterior color options and two interior options.

Essentially, you'll be floating on a cloud most of the time. Other times, you'll be enjoying the crisp agility that makes the Korean luxury brand an important figure in the long-established sport luxury segment.
The 2026 Electrified GV70 Gains Versatility
The forthcoming GV70 PHEV will feature a new charge port that is sure to increase convenience and nationwide adaptability. The charging port now has an electric motor that can be opened and closed easier than ever. A heating element and a new lighting source have also been added to the charging port, which should definitely improve the quality of life during colder or darker charging situations.
The 2026 Genesis GV70 comes exclusively with a North American Charging Standard (NACS) charge port, and a Combined Charging System (CCS) adapter. This enables seamless access to a vast nationwide network of more than 36,000 NACS and CCS DC fast chargers, effectively doubling the size of the DC fast charging network available to Genesis EV customers. Making this upgrade sweeter is the fact that the 2026 GV70 EV will be equipped with a larger 84 kWh high-capacity battery that will offer more range and flexibility compared to the current 77.4 kWh unit employed in the 2025 model.
